About Us

Join your neighbors to support the growth and vibrancy of our Odessa City Parks.

The Odessa Parks Foundation is a nonprofit group of citizens who believe that having wellmaintained, family-friendly city parks is critical to the well-being and growth of Odessa and its citizens. The Parks Foundation was created in 1996 to assist Odessa and Ector County agencies in improving our park systems and recreational facilities through land acquisition and the development of our existing city parks.

Since its inception, the Odessa Parks Foundation has been instrumental in helping develop numerous popular family parks. The next park site to receive a new playground with foundation funds is Casa Bella. Parks receiving recent playground installations include:

• Bellaire
• Central
• Crump
• Comanche Trail at West County Road
• Floyd Gwin
• Jim Parker
• Juan Ramirez
• Lawndale
• Lions Club
• Mark Henderson
• McKinney
• Murry Fly
• O'Conner
• Optimist
• Progressive
• Royalty
• Salinas
• San Jacinto
• Sherwood
• Slator
• Western Manor
• Woodson

Thousands of Odessans enjoy these quality recreational areas each year. As our city grows, improvements at our current parks and additional parks will be needed to meet both the mental and physical well-being of our citizens. Now, with the Parks Foundation’s help, Odessa has joined cities across the state in doing its part to make sure that our city parks will be maintained and improved for future generations.
